Vivian Coleman served as Project Manager for the City of Charlotte’s Curb Lane Management Study.  This study included recommendations for the downtown’s curb lane space and recommendations for improved regulatory signage.  Whether the use is for public parking, transit, loading, passenger vehicles for hire, or valet, the goal of the study was to enhance the Uptown experience for all users of the curb lane.  The Study recommendations regarding parking policy in Charlotte’s downtown.  Many of these recommendations were implemented.

The Study’s overall goal was to evaluate curb lane usage in the Uptown area to develop a more consistent approach to signage, parking, enforcement, and management, resulting in a more inviting and appealing Uptown experience.
